“What we believe matters, why we believe matters, and how we live out what we believe matters!”

welcome to the table

  • tabLION is a gathering for growth.

  • "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

    Acts 2:42

  • As we gather, may God's Spirit work within us in unity and love.

  • We gather to grow.

Our Core Principles

  • Diverse Community

Our Table Unions are based on communal learning. The aim is to improve Biblical knowledge, theological wisdom and communication skills by engaging with others in a safe environment made up of diverse perspectives. Growth is facilitated by honest, thoughtful, supportive and kind peer feedback.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

    Proverbs 27:17

  • Discipleship

Our Table Unions are self-paced and self-facilitated. The aim is to foster meaningful relationships and organic mentorship opportunities in order to walk with one another and learn from the other in support of each other.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

    John 13:34-35

  • Commitment

Our Table Unions are encouraged to meet at least 12 times per year. While new members are always welcome, regular attendance and commitment to meeting tasks, topics, and etiquette is imperative to healthy growth. While there is no official instructor, each Table Union is to elect a Lead Servant who facilitates the meetings.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

    Acts 2:42

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

– John 6:35
